Finance Minister attended the meeting of Agriculture Commission with CM Punjab at 180-H, Model Town. The initiatives/future actions discussed in the meeting are:
- To undertake broadbased stakeholder consultations and take stock of the existing situation in the sector, farmers’ demands, government’s priorities and global imperatives and identify areas for future support
- Draft Agriculture Policy for crop sector and dovetail with other sub-sectors through a coherent approval
- Provide strategic direction for the sector and ensure synergies within various sub-sectors through a coherent approach
